Coffee has antioxidant and exfoliating properties, helping to remove impurities from the skin and reducing oiliness.

To make the skin smoother and more hydrated after exfoliation, it is recommended that coffee be used in conjunction with another ingredient that promotes hydration of the skin and stimulates its regeneration. Some options that can be used as homemade exfoliants for the body and face are:

1 package of natural yogurt;

4 heaping tablespoons of coffee powder or coffee grounds.

4 tablespoons of whole milk;

2 heaping tablespoons of coffee powder or coffee grounds.

Option 3

1 tablespoon of honey;

2 heaping tablespoons of coffee powder or coffee grounds.

Option 4

2 tablespoons of olive oil;

1 heaping tablespoon of coffee powder or coffee grounds.

Preparation mode

Mix the ingredients well until you get a homogeneous paste. Apply to the region you want to exfoliate, rub in a circular motion from the bottom up, especially in the driest or stretch mark areas.

Leave the scrub for a few minutes and wash the region with cold water, pat dry with a soft towel and then apply a little moisturizer to the skin.

Main benefits and when to use

Exfoliating the skin regularly, at least 2 times a month is an excellent strategy to eliminate dead cells, small pimples and blackheads on the face, it makes it easier for moisturizer, oil or other beauty product to penetrate the skin, in addition that helps to soften it, improve blood circulation, reduce red stretch marks and stimulate the growth of new cells in the dermis.

The coffee scrub can be used after a warm bath every week, in those who have oily or combination skin, but for those who have dry skin they should not do more than 2 exfoliations a month, with an interval between them 15 days.

The coffee scrub can also be applied before using any anti-cellulite cream to be used on the thighs, forearms, belly and butt as it allows the cream to penetrate deeper into the skin, having a better effect.

In addition to being paraben-free, these 4 homemade scrub options are environmentally friendly, as the tiny particles are organic and completely dissolved in the soil and water, while cosmetic products contain tiny exfoliating dots made of plastic that when they reach rivers and oceans, they are ingested by fish and other marine animals, compromising their health and life.
